Bird from the Beach
Experiment with Shells and Wire
Bird from the Beach departs from the glass-and-wire medium I have been focusing on by substituting shells for glass. The sculpture is held together by wire conforming to the natural shapes found in the shells. Bird from the Beach captures the dynamic interplay between the rigidity of nature in the shells and the flexibly required for design in the wire.
